2022-09-07Add WWW entries to port MakefilesStefan Eßer1-0/+1
It has been common practice to have one or more URLs at the end of the ports' pkg-descr files, one per line and prefixed with "WWW:". These URLs should point at a project website or other relevant resources. Access to these URLs required processing of the pkg-descr files, and they have often become stale over time. If more than one such URL was present in a pkg-descr file, only the first one was tarnsfered into the port INDEX, but for many ports only the last line did contain the port specific URL to further information. There have been several proposals to make a project URL available as a macro in the ports' Makefiles, over time. This commit implements such a proposal and moves one of the WWW: entries of each pkg-descr file into the respective port's Makefile. A heuristic attempts to identify the most relevant URL in case there is more than one WWW: entry in some pkg-descr file. URLs that are not moved into the Makefile are prefixed with "See also:" instead of "WWW:" in the pkg-descr files in order to preserve them. There are 1256 ports that had no WWW: entries in pkg-descr files. These ports will not be touched in this commit. The portlint port has been adjusted to expect a WWW entry in each port Makefile, and to flag any remaining "WWW:" lines in pkg-descr files as deprecated. Approved by: portmgr (tcberner)

2014-04-23When linking a library libA with a library libB using libtool, if libB.laTijl Coosemans1-2/+2
exists, libtool will add all libraries libB.la refers to (dependency_libs field) to the linker command line and store them in the dependency_libs field of libA.la. So everything that subsequently links with libA will also link to these extra libraries. This causes too much overlinking. This commit modifies Mk/Uses/libtool.mk so it empties the dependency_libs field in .la libraries during staging. However, because .la libraries have very limited use when dependency_libs is empty it makes sense to completely remove them during staging. So with this commit USES=libtool is modified to remove .la libraries and a new form (USES=libtool:keepla) is introduced in case they need to be kept (dependency_libs is still emptied). PORTREVISION is bumped on all ports with USES=libtool that install .la libraries. Most ports are also changed to add :keepla because .la libraries have to be kept around as long as there are dependent ports with .la libraries that refer to them in their dependency_libs field. In most cases :keepla can be removed again as soon as all dependent ports that install .la libraries have some form of USES=libtool added to their Makefile. 2013-03-08* Update the glib to 2.34.3 and gtk20 to 2.24.17 and gtk30 to 3.6.4 whichKoop Mast1-0/+1
are the latest stable releases. * Update vala to the newest stable release 0.18.1, also update a few ports in the gtk/gnome stack. * The c++ bindings ports for glib, atk, gconf, etc, have now USE_GNOME toggles. * Remove pkg-config run depends from glib20 and freetype2. This doesn't eliminate pkg-config run dependency completely, a second phase is needed and is planned. * Support for .:run. and .:build. for USE_GNOME components was added. Currently only libxml2 and libxslt support this mechanism. * Updates of the telepathy stack and empathy. * Trim makefile headers, convert ports to new options, trim off library versions for some ports. * Fix other ports so they build with the new glib version. 2008-08-21Update CONFIGURE_ARGS for how we pass CONFIGURE_TARGET to configure script.Rong-En Fan1-1/+0
Specifically, newer autoconf (> 2.13) has different semantic of the configure target. In short, one should use --build=CONFIGURE_TARGET instead of CONFIGURE_TARGET directly. Otherwise, you will get a warning and the old semantic may be removed in later autoconf releases. To workaround this issue, many ports hack the CONFIGURE_TARGET variable so that it contains the ``--build='' prefix. To solve this issue, under the fact that some ports still have configure script generated by the old autoconf, we use runtime detection in the do-configure target so that the proper argument can be used. Changes to Mk/*: - Add runtime detection magic in bsd.port.mk - Remove CONFIGURE_TARGET hack in various bsd.*.mk - USE_GNOME=gnometarget is now an no-op Changes to individual ports, other than removing the CONFIGURE_TARGET hack: = pkg-plist changed (due to the ugly CONFIGURE_TARGET prefix in * executables) - comms/gnuradio - science/abinit - science/elmer-fem - science/elmer-matc - science/elmer-meshgen2d - science/elmerfront - science/elmerpost = use x86_64 as ARCH - devel/g-wrap = other changes - print/magicfilter GNU_CONFIGURE -> HAS_CONFIGURE since it's not generated by autoconf Total # of ports modified: 1,027 Total # of ports affected: ~7,000 (set GNU_CONFIGURE to yes) PR: 126524 (obsoletes 52917) Submitted by: rafan Tested on: two pointyhat 7-amd64 exp runs (by pav) Approved by: portmgr (pav) Notes: svn path=/head/; revision=218938
