* Fix Qt5 symbol version scripts to put the catch-all clause first. WhenTijl Coosemans2019-01-161-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | a symbol matches multiple clauses the last one takes precedence. If the catch-all is last it captures everything. In the case of Qt5 libraries this caused all symbols to have a Qt_5 label while some should have Qt_5_PRIVATE_API. This only affects lld because GNU ld always gives the catch-all lowest priority. Older versions of Qt5Webengine exported some memory allocation symbols from the bundled Chromium. Version 5.9 stopped exporting these [1] but the symbols were kept as weak wrappers for the standard allocation functions to maintain binary compatibility. [2][3] The problem is that the call to the standard function in these weak wrappers is only resolved to the standard function if there's a call to this standard function in other parts of Qt5Webengine, because only then is there a non-weak symbol that takes precedence over the weak one. If there's no such non-weak symbol the call in the weak wrapper resolves to the weak wrapper itself creating an infinite call loop that overflows the stack and causes a crash. Some of the allocation functions are variants of C++ new and delete and it probably depends on the compiler whether these variants are used in other parts of Qt5Webengine. Remove the weak wrappers (make them Linux specific). This isn't binary compatible but we are already breaking that with the changes to the symbol versions. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This update brings many changes - the build system has switched to cmake - some ports needed to be switched to use their bundled version of poppler: - print/tex-luatex (r487226) - print/tex-xetex (r487226) - editors/opeonffice-devel - Qt4 support has been dropped - print/frescobaldi has been removed for this reason. - most of the added patches can be removed with the next upgrade of the concerning port. * Replace Mk/bsd.kde4.mk by Mk/Uses/kde.mk in preparation for KDE Frameworks andTobias C. Berner2016-08-241-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Plasma5 ports At the moment KDE ports use bsd.kde4.mk to handle their dependencies. When working on the ports for KDE Frameworks and Plasma5 it seemed to be more reasonable to create a new kde.mk instead of adding an bsd.kde5.mk. The kde.mk in this review is a stripped down version of the one we are using in the KDE Test repositories plasma5 branch [1] to only contain the parts relevant to the current KDE4 ports in the portstree [2]. Changes to the KDE Ports needed by this: Replace USE_KDE4 by USE_KDE [3] Add USES=kde:4 [4] [1] http://src.mouf.net/area51/view/branches/plasma5/KDE/Mk/Uses/kde.mk [2] The version in the plasma5 branch also handles frameworks/plasma5 and handles MASTER_SITES via a KDE_DIST variable similar to bsd.qt.mk for Qt Ports -- I chose to leave this out for now, as the diff is already large enough. [3] I chose USE_KDE instead of USE_KDE4, USE_KDE5, USE_KDEX as the version we want is already specified as argument to kde:<arg> [4] For KDE Frameworks and Plasma5 ports this would be kde:5 PR: 210667 Approved by: portmgr, mat (mentor), rakuco (mentor) Reviewed by: mat, rakuco Differential Revision: https://reviews.freebsd.org/D6961 Notes: svn path=/head/; revision=420774

* Change header installation location for kdelibs4-based ports.Raphael Kubo da Costa2016-03-152-108/+108
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Install x11/kdelibs4's headers into include/kde4 instead of include (which consequently causes several other ports to have their installation paths changed too). The idea behind this is to reduce path conflicts between KDE4 ports and the upcoming KDE Frameworks 5 ports that will be installed into include/KF5. If we continue installing the KDE4 headers into include/, we can end up in a situation like this: c++ [...] -I/usr/local/include -I/usr/local/include/KF5 file.cpp If the KDE4 and KF5 versions of a port have the same headers, the KDE4 port will unintentionally be picked up first and the build will fail. Most of this huge patch is just PORTREVISION bumps, pkg-plist changes and a few patches to FooConfig.cmake files to make them look into the kde4/ subdirectory in include/. Changes which don't fit into the above are: - deskutils/kdepimlibs4: Import an upstream patch to remove some double semicolons that cause base GCC to fail. They have always been present, but since the faulty header was referenced via -isystem /usr/local/include this never caused any problems. - devel/subversion, devel/subversion18: Update patch-configure. The current kwallet changes there date back to 2011 (r272490), at a time when the build could fail when both KDE3 and KDE4 were installed. Replace those bits with a change I've submitted upstream to use the kde4-config program to determine where KDE4's headers and libraries are installed instead of assuming the headers are always in include/. Once again, huge thanks to Tobias Berner <tcberner@gmail.com> for being the first one to notice this problem when working on the KDE Frameworks 5 ports, coming up with the solution and bugging me until I had time to work on this and ask for the exp-run :-) PR: 207906 (exp-run) Notes: svn path=/head/; revision=411156

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | - Remove const qualifier from iconv(3) to match POSIX: http://pubs.opengroup.org/onlinepubs/9699919799/functions/iconv.html - Patch iconv.h to expose more GNU extensions when LIBICONV_PLUG is defined because the base system iconv supports these extensions too. Add/remove patches to/from ports to call iconv with non-const arguments. This breaks some ports on FreeBSD 10 because base system iconv.h still has the const qualifier. Fix this by letting USES=iconv add a build dependency on converters/libiconv so ports can use its iconv.h (with LIBICONV_PLUG defined) instead of the base system iconv.h. This exposed some ports that link with libiconv when it is available instead of using libc iconv. In these cases one of the following changes has been made: - patch configure scripts to test for libc iconv first - add ac_cv_lib_iconv_libiconv=no or similar to CONFIGURE_ARGS to disable some configure tests - converters/wkhtmltopdf: this includes Qt4 so add a patch from devel/qt4 - lang/gcc5-aux: respect CFLAGS and friends during configure such that LIBICONV_PLUG is defined in the iconv test, also switch to external gettext - mail/gnarwl: replace patches with CPPFLAGS/LIBS - multimedia/ffmpeg2theora: remove iconv test from SConstruct and use ICONV_LIB in port Makefile instead, also fix a bug in subtitles.c - net-im/licq: finish conversion to cmake - net-mgmt/bandwidthd, net-mgmt/icinga, net-mgmt/nagios, net-mgmt/nagios4: don't need iconv - textproc/p5-XML-TinyXML: finish conversion to USES=perl5 Other changes: - databases/qdbm and slaves: respect CFLAGS and friends, also enable bzip2 and lzo support - games/ldmud: respect CFLAGS and friends - graphics/inventor: replace some patches with MAKE_ARGS/MAKE_ENV to respect CFLAGS and friends, also remove FreeBSD/alpha patch and add missing xorg dependencies PR: 199099 Exp-run by: antoine Approved by: portmgr (antoine) Notes: svn path=/head/; revision=384038

It is still possible to use the old stack by specifying WITHOUT_NEW_XORG in /etc/make.conf . FreeBSD 8-STABLE and released versions of FreeBSD still use the old version. A package repository with binary packages for new xorg will be available soon. This patch also contains updates of libxcb and related ports, pixman, as well as some drivers and utilities. Bump portrevisions for xf86-* ports, as well as virtualbox-ose-additions due to xserver version change. Apart from these updates, the way shared libraries are handled has been changed for all xorg ports, as well as libxml2 and freetype, which means ltverhack is gone and as a consequence shared libraries have been bumped. The plan is that this change will make library bumps less likely in the future. All affected ports have had their portrevisions bumped as a consequence of this.
