TaBE stands for `Taiwan and Big5 Encoding'. libtabe provides unified interface and library dealing with Chinese words, phrases, sentences, and phonetic symbols. Submitted by: woju@freebsd.ntu.edu.tw New port : ve, a Chinese command line editor, obtained from NTHU-CS Maple BBS 2.36 src code. From the submitter: ve is a tiny editor, about 60K. It's woju's favorite UNIX editor. The most obvious weakness of ve is changing TABs into Spaces.
