2016-03-27- Update security/gnutls to 3.4.10.Tijl Coosemans1-1/+1
- Rename the LIBDANE option DANE because that's the name of the protocol supported by libgnutls-dane and gnutls-cli. Also clarify the option description. - Add an IDN option. - libgnutls-openssl has been removed in 3.4. Some ports used this library in their LIB_DEPENDS but no port actually required it. - Some old API functions have been removed. Ports that used these have been updated or patched to use the new API. - Add a patch to print/cups to prevent overlinking of libgnutls.so. - Bump PORTREVISION on dependent ports. net-im/jabber: This port used the old API to give users fine grained control over which crypto algorithms were used via a configuration file. It's not immediately obvious how to port this to the new API so the port always uses the defaults now. www/hydra: Mark BROKEN. This uses more removed calls than the other ports, is said to be alpha quality and not fully functional and has been abandoned 10 years ago. a zeising, kwm production, with help from dumbbell, bdrewery: NEW XORG ON FREEBSD 9-STABLE AND 10-STABLE This update switches over to use the new xorg stack by default on FreeBSD 9 and 10 stable, on osversions where vt(9) is available. It is still possible to use the old stack by specifying WITHOUT_NEW_XORG in /etc/make.conf . FreeBSD 8-STABLE and released versions of FreeBSD still use the old version. A package repository with binary packages for new xorg will be available soon. This patch also contains updates of libxcb and related ports, pixman, as well as some drivers and utilities. Bump portrevisions for xf86-* ports, as well as virtualbox-ose-additions due to xserver version change. Apart from these updates, the way shared libraries are handled has been changed for all xorg ports, as well as libxml2 and freetype, which means ltverhack is gone and as a consequence shared libraries have been bumped. The plan is that this change will make library bumps less likely in the future. All affected ports have had their portrevisions bumped as a consequence of this. Fix some issues where WITH_NEW_XORG weren't detected properly on CURRENT. Update instructions, hardware support, and more notes can be found on https://wiki.freebsd.org/Graphics Thanks to: all testers, bdrewery and the FreeBSD x11@ team exp-run by: bdrewery [1] PR: ports/187602 [1] Approved by: portmgr (bdrewery), core (jhb)

GNOME 2.20 release notes can be found at http://www.gnome.org/start/2.20/notes/en/ . Beyond that, this update includes the new GIMP 2.4 (courtesy of ahze). The GNOME 2.20 update also includes a huge change in the FreeBSD GNOME hierarchy. We are now using the more standard DATADIR of ${PREFIX}/share rather than ${PREFIX}/share/gnome. The result is that fewer patches and hacks are needed to port GNOME components to FreeBSD. This will mean some user changes may be required, so be sure to read /usr/ports/UPDATING for more details. This release and the things we accomplished in it would not have been possible without mezz's crazy idea to collapse DATADIR, and his persistence to make it happen successfully. Ahze and pav also deserve thanks for their work on porting modules and testing the whole ball of wax on pointyhat (respectively). See http://www.gnome.org/start/2.18/ for all the goodies in this release. GNOME 2.18 for FreeBSD would not have been possible without the hard work of the FreeBSD GNOME Team and our intrepid band of testers including J. W. 2006-10-14Presenting GNOME 2.16.1 for FreeBSD. This release represents a massiveJoe Marcus Clarke2-12/+50
amount of work by the FreeBSD GNOME Team and our testers. On top of the usual GNOME update, we have taken this opportunity to move GNOME from X11BASE to LOCALBASE. This means roughly 600 ports NOT part of the GNOME Desktop also need to be changed. The bulk of the move was carried out by ahze, mezz, and pav, but it would not have been possible without cooperation from the FreeBSD KDE team who worked with us to make sure GNOME and KDE can still coexist happily. We would also like to send a shout out to kris and pointyhat for putting up with multiple test runs until we got something that was solid. Back to GNOME 2.16. This release brings a huge amount of new functionality to FreeBSD. The standard release notes can be read at http://www.gnome.org/start/2.16/ . But on top of what you will read there, jylefort and marcus have completed work on a port of HAL to FreeBSD. This will allow FreeBSD to take advantage of closer hardware interaction such as auto-mounting CD-ROMs, USB drives, and music players; auto-playing audio CDs; and managing laptop power consumption. But where would this all be without our loyal testers and contributors? Therefore, the FreeBSD GNOME team would like to thank the following users: Phillip Neumann <pneumann@gmail.com> tmclaugh mux Yuri Pankov <yuri.pankov@gmail.com> chinsan Thomas <freebsdlists@bsdunix.ch> Brian Gruber <knightbg@yahoo.com> Franz Klammer <klammer@webonaut.com> Dominique Goncalves <dominique.goncalves@gmail.com> Pascal Hofstee <caelian@gmail.com> Yasuda Keisuke <kysd@po.harenet.ne.jp> backyard <backyard1454-bsd@yahoo.com> Andris Raugulis <endrju@null.lv> <endrju@null.lv> Eric L.
